Date night, but competitive
Closest-to-the-pin, a penalty shootout, a cocktail at the bar. Why a simulator bay is the best first date on Long Island.

Dinner and a movie has one flaw: ninety minutes of it you cannot talk. A bay at the arena is the opposite. There is always something to do, something to react to and, for the competitive ones, something to win.
The game
Closest-to-the-pin is the first-date game, because it takes one swing to understand and nobody has to be good at golf. A penalty shootout is next: five each, then sudden death. If one of you grew up playing baseball, the Batbox cage is where that gets found out.
The food
Order from the bay. Shareable plates come out while you play, and the bar sends cocktails to the bay too. Nobody has to wait for a table.
The bar
When the game is settled, the bar is a few steps away with a full cocktail list, drafts and wine, and the big game on the screens if the date is going that well.
Reserve a bay ahead on weekends; walk-ins are welcome whenever there is space.
