Home Run Derby Nights: how our first league will work
A weekly derby in the Batbox cage, scored swing by swing, with a season board and a path to the worldwide leaderboard. Our first league.

The simplest league we can run is also the one we think will fill first: a weekly home run derby in the Batbox cage.
The format
Each week, each player gets a set number of swings in Home Run Challenge. Every swing is scored by the cage’s sensors, so there is no judging and no arguing: the ball cleared the wall on screen or it did not. The arena board tracks the season.
The levels
Difficulty in the cage adjusts to the player, so the league is planned in divisions. A youth division and an open division run on the same nights, and a player’s profile carries their stats from week to week.
The final
The season ends with a final night, and the winner’s run goes onto the leaderboard that Batbox shares across every location in the world. Batbox runs tournaments at local, regional and national levels, which is the longer road a good derby hitter can take from here.
Registration
Registration opens with the arena, solo or as a team. The opening list is the fastest way to hear the schedule and the first-season details, and the Plan an Event page is the way to bring an existing league of your own.
